About me
I am Taiwo Bakare-Abidola, a passionate environmental scientist and Ph.D student at Georgia Southern University. My academic journey and professional background span environmental health, water and wastewater treatment, pollution monitoring, and sustainable development. I am especially interested in research that addresses real-world environmental challenges using innovative and interdisciplinary approaches, including the One Health framework.People can talk to me about environmental contaminants, water quality, microplastics, wastewater management, sustainable solutions for urban pollution, and the intersection of environmental science with public health. I also have hands-on experience with analytical techniques like Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, FTIR, TGA and NMR.Beyond the lab and fieldwork, I enjoy collaborating on research projects, mentoring students, and discussing policies that shape environmental sustainability. I welcome conversations on data analysis, and international environmental issues, especially in developing regions like Nigeria, where I have extensive experience.Let’s connect if you’re passionate about science, sustainability, or making a real difference through research and innovation.
